CONSUMER-DIRECTD ATTENDANT CARE (CDAC) is a program that allows recipients of The Medicaid Waiver Program`s Home and Community Services (HCBS) to find and hire their own home care. The CDAC in home care providers can offer either qualified services (marginal and health medical services) or unskilled services (normal daily activity).
All CDAC agreements must be approved by the Medicaid Member Case Manager or the Human Services Division service officer. TO BECOME A CDAC PROVIDER – Contact the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise and apply to become a sole provider of CDAC (Provider Enrollment Department).
